Improving quality of care for four clinical populations; for the purpose of this study, the focus was on hip and knee arthroplasty.

Launched independently from the National Joint Registry for Hip and Knee Arthroplasty which was launched in 2002

Data collection

Generic PROMs:

EQ-5D and the corresponding visual analogue scale for health-related quality of life

The EQ-5D is a generic instrument developed by the EuroQoL Group and contains 5 dimensions (mobility, self-care, usual activities, pain and discomfort, anxiety and depression

Health condition specific PROMs:

Oxford Knee Score (OKS) and Oxford Hip Score (OHS)

SHPR: no health condition specific PROM

SKAR: Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS)
