â–Ş Male and female cancer patients

â–Ş Primary stage I, II and III diagnosis a

â–Ş At different stages of the care process: recently diagnosed, currently undergoing treatment, and post-treatment in follow-up care.

â–Ş All types of cancer

▪ Aged between 25 and 60 years b

â–Ş Having had or having premorbid neurological problems or cognitive dysfunctions

â–Ş The lack of proficiency in Flemish-Dutch

  1. a This criteria serves to exclude palliative patients, since we aim to include participants that have an perspective on rehabilitation
  2. b We believe the social context, role fulfillment, obligations and expectations differ between adolescents, adults and elderly resulting in other psychosocial concerns. To recruit adult cancer patients we chose the age range of 25–60 years
  3. c This makes a person unsuitable for participation in questionnaire research
