Inclusion criteria

• First episode psychosis

• Aged 14–30 years

• (ICD-10: F20, 22, 23, 25, 28, 31)

• Living within the catchment area

Exclusion criteria

Patients with a history of prior psychosis in receipt of antipsychotic medication

Patients with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder or organic disorder

Institutional residence

Patients with learning disability

Inability to provide informed consent

Patients with current criminal proceedings

Patients with serious concurrent physical illness
