Underweight: BMI < 18.5; normal weight: 18.5 ≤ BMI < 25; overweight: 25 ≤ BMI < 30; moderate obesity (obesity class 1): 30 ≤ BMI < 35; severe obesity (obesity class 2–3): BMI ≥ 35.
